The Commentator, 1938-1954

Local 480 was a significant union in Trail, representing workers at the Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company of Canada. This union was also known for its struggles with anti-Communist forces and raids by other unions during the Cold War era. “The Commentator” served as Local 480’s official newspaper, providing a platform for its voice and activities.
