Our October newsletter reports that 497 issues of the B.C. Workers’ News (1935-1946) have been digitized with a grant from the BC History Digitzation Project. The newspaper also published as People’s Advocate, Advocate, The People, People, Pacific Advocate and The Pacific Tribune. Under censorship provisions of the War Measures Act, the Communist Party’s publication was forced to cease publication for over two years from 1940 to 1942. Read the October 2025 newsletter.
