“Ghosts” from British Columbia’s past visit a new union member to remind them why “labour history matters” in this clever video produced in 2018. Viewers are reminded of the many historical achievements of the labour movement, and why being an active union member is important.
“Labour History Matters” was produced in a partnership between the BC Labour Heritage Centre, BC Federation of Labour Young Workers’ Committee, and the BC Government Employees Union. It was filmed as a special project during the Young Workers’ School at Camp Jubilee, 2018. Video shot and edited by Neil Vokey, BCGEU. Special thanks to Camp Jubilee, and the young workers who participated in this project.
