Vancouver Working Class & Labour History Walking Tours allow you to visit sites of significance to workers’ heritage and working class struggle that commemorate the importance of labour unions, individuals, collective actions and much more in Vancouver, BC.
PRIVATE GUIDED TOURS (2 hours) of 5-16 people can be booked anytime. Each guide usually creates a unique tour plan, however feel free to let us know your background or if you have any particular interests/neighbourhood preferences.
Three neighborhood tours are available, each lasting about 2 hours:
- Downtown (available to groups of 6-16)
Stops include the Marine Building, Bentall Centre, and the Old Hotel Vancouver
- Central (available to groups of 6-16)
Stops include the Railwayman’s Club, the Labour Temple, and the Sun Tower
- Eastside (available to groups of 5-6)
Stops include Victory Square, Army & Navy, and Oppenheimer Park
After you book your tour we will contact you to finalize arrangements. Participants are suggested to provide a donation of $10 per person to support our volunteer tour guides. Tour booklets are provided free of charge.
2017 OPEN GUIDED TOURS will take place twice a month, May through September.
Saturdays: May 6, June 3, July 8, August 12, and September 9 at 1 PM
Wednesdays: May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16 and September 20 at 6 PM
Participants are requested to provide a registration fee of $10 per person to secure a spot. If this fee is a barrier to your attendance due to low or fixed income, we provide the opportunity to waive this fee.

SELF-GUIDED TOURS can be done on your own with our Walking Tour booklet, which can be purchased for $5 per copy at Spartacus Books and People’s Co-op Bookstore; for an order of more than 5 copies, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
